Family owned motel , originally built in 1930's with blocks from the Blue Ridge parkway construction project. Mountain man neon sign has been designated a historic landmark. Centrally located in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC. The property has been featured in many motion pictures throughout the years. We had a phenomenal time at the Mountaineer. I loved hanging out by the fireplace upstairs. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. The hot tub was also a great way to relax after skiing! I look forward to coming back in the Spring/Summer
Love the place. I haven’t seen a more courteous staff in a long time. The place has small town charm and a character with lot of small details. Also the 2 mins bus ride to mount snow is a big plus. I will definitely look forward to coming here again.
Had a great first experience. The inn itself is very cute with a fireplace, library room, cute and yummy breakfast and nice hot tub and sauna area. The front desk was friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect being super close to the corinthia lift. Would def come back again
Across the street from Mount Snow. Perfect rustic, warm and cozy. Great for large groups. Three large living room areas with fireplaces, pool table and fridge. Hot tub outside. Beds were comfortable. Free continental breakfast. Hotel manager and husband were great to us.
Can't beat the location. Rooms were clean and there are many common areas to hang out with friends or family. Cute, unique place. Breakfast was good too. They even have a place for you to store your snowboard or skis, as well as your boots. I would stay here again.
