I went to an appointment while I was experiencing many unexplained and debilitating symptoms. My neurologist was very kind and a good listener, but he was stumped about my symptoms, so he brought his supervisor to the room, who basically took over from there. I unfortunately can't remember her name. But she was very condescending. She literally scoffed and said "I've never heard of something like that". And give off a vibe that says — I'm the expert. Absolute disaster. My mother has been having cognitive and memory impairment and we waited a long time to get an appt. Then we saw Dr. Anne-Marie Osibajo and we waited to get an MRI, which she recommended next. The MRI showed my mother had a bleed in the brain from a couple years earlier - vascular disease-!and there was some clearly indicated decline to her brain health. We waited months to get the doctor to speak to us and review the MRI - while my mom has struggled- had falls- broke a wrist and two ribs a week and a half ... read more

I advocate for a relative who has a disability. They saw Dr. Joel Delfiner 2 times for traumatic cervical neck pain and instead of doing an MRI for his progressive neurologic symptoms, Joel just pushed pain medication on my relative which he had adverse reaction to. Dr Delfiner was condescending and dismissive to my relative and I's concern during the appointments. All my relative wanted was an MRI (not drugs) to see why his symptoms had worsened.
