The Troll exhibit was magnificent and the Arboretum was beautiful. We enjoyed a relaxing refreshment in the patio after our hunt. The only disappointing part of our visit was the other patrons not following the posted signs and allowing their children to climb on the exhibits.

1700 Hundred acres of arboretum, nursery, experimental plots of trees, plants and shrubs. Best botanical library in Chicago area, clean and interesting visitor center, art forms it trolls, a one way service drive around the grounds and much more.

Morton Arboretum is an Illinois treasure. If you love nature in all its forms, this place is your paradise. We love all the trees, paths, trails, shelters, and staff members, who are always friendly and helpful. We enjoy taking classes here as well. The beauty of the area is breathtaking in all seasons. Always a picnic lunch in tow, we love to spend the day. We attended the walking play, "Nature", in the past, and we equally enjoyed this year's walking play about the Brothers Grimm. It is so peaceful, especially when you walk the forest paths. Then you turn a corner and get surprised by a breath taking view, a sight of a bird, or something in bloom. And right now, Trolls surprise you!
