I am a Moorings Yacht owner and my boat recently went through the phase out process. Historically this process in the past few years had been riddled with delays and problems but, I am happy to say that was not our experience. Unwelcoming surprisingly bad experience even the staff is miserable working there and it shows. My boyfriend and I recently did a barefoot boat charter on a catamaran out of Tortola. The restaurant was so rude we thought there were hidden cameras and someone was playing a joke on us 😂 we were not welcomed or greeted when we first arrived in the heat with our luggage. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company! Took my family on a 6 day charter sail in Tahiti in June, 2023. If not for the beautiful locale, trip would’ve been a total disaster. Our main complaints (as also conveyed to the captain and to management): 1) captain was unsafe! Left the boat daily for 2-4 hours to “go meet friends” or exercise…leaving us alone! Just want to spread awareness to not waste your time and money on this place! Had really good hopes for this charter and was one of the weirdest and worst experiences of my life. The staff looking through my personal garments, caught some guy sniffing my underwear. Was asked "what does that mouth do" during dinner so many times. I have never felt more uncomfortable. Be careful who knows what these people are really doing.
I want on a lifetime trip with my wife(MARCH 2023). Spent over $25,000. Turned out to be a nightmare Exuma charter. Their yachts are not maintained or serviced at ALL. I highly recommend you stay away from this company. Sent in several complaints with pictures and no response TO THE MOORINGS. We lost 5 days of are trip because of lack of taking care of the yacht. I would be worried if my yacht was there under charter. We saw lots of damaged yachts with mast laying on upper decks crushing seats. Just no common sense there or ... read more
