Cockroaches and the hot water constantly goes out. STAY AWAY.
As a long time resident of Southern Towers , I thought it necessary to update my review of the Monticello apartment at Southern Towers. First, I am very thankful for Ms. Theresa, the building manager. She is someone who truly cares about residents and their needs. She is why I continue to renew my lease and why I want to leave a 5-star review. If I could leave this apartment complex a zero star I would. It was the worst place I have lived in the DMV. I had roaches crawling everywhere and mice. I killed 13 mice in one week. They have pest control come once a week and all they did was put the poison blocks and left. Management only cares about money. They would use my deposit for other things and then tell me I had to pay it again because I used it. And every time I tried to explain what happened they didn’t listen. As a resident of Southern Towers community and Monticello Building for many many years. I am unfortunate giving this Building 1 star now. Because everything is going down here but the leasing prices are going up. 1st: No one deep cleans the carpets of each floor. That's why each floor walkway stinks. 2nd: No cleaning of the Windows from outside, ever. 3rd: Each apartment is full of Roaches and some even Mice.
