Avoid this Montclaire! They never fail to make troubles to their residents. (1) Construction noise for over more than one year. (2) Gym is closed for more than half year. (3) constantly requirement for moving cars due to all kinds of constructions (4) power outage twice in one week (and notification only one day ahead) (5) frequently requests for entering the apartment.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! ESPECIALLY at these inflated prices! What's with the CGI photos that were added recently? The apartment complex looks nothing like that. It's incredibly misleading. Management couldn't give less of a crap about noise, smoking, or safety, but this is expected for an Essex property. The property is rent-stabilized but expect that Essex will always raise rent to the maximum allowed by law (5% + local inflation). Place has some red flags for my taste: A place that claims to be a smoke free zone but always has weed or cigarettes smoke from neighbors, claims to be a quite apartment but always noisy, claims to be secure but constantly kept getting our shoes and mail stolen. Homeless people running rampant and no security guards during the night time, they do have a number for the security team but they do not pick up the call after 8pm exactly when the apparent feels unsafe.
Parking lot is finally reachable for Waymo pickup
Good management. Responsive staff. Clean and friendly. Essex staff Maria Magda was especially very helpful and kind.
