I’ve lived here for a while now, and honestly, the apartments were great in the beginning, but the past couple of years have been really frustrating. Never come to this place. They damaged the apartment’s plumbing and refused to compensate. As you can see in the photo, I had to live in these conditions for weeks because of their negligence. This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. If there were an option to give a negative rating, I would.

Avoid this Montclaire! They never fail to make troubles to their residents. (1) Construction noise for over more than one year. (2) Gym is closed for more than half year. (3) constantly requirement for moving cars due to all kinds of constructions (4) power outage twice in one week (and notification only one day ahead) (5) frequently requests for entering the apartment.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! ESPECIALLY at these inflated prices! What's with the CGI photos that were added recently? The apartment complex looks nothing like that. It's incredibly misleading. Management couldn't give less of a crap about noise, smoking, or safety, but this is expected for an Essex property. The property is rent-stabilized but expect that Essex will always raise rent to the maximum allowed by law (5% + local inflation).
