Edit: I guess I got confused by the business relationship with our essentials. Thanks for clarifying that! The prescription pharmacy is great (I did fill in some prescriptions) so changing my review to reflect that. The rest, is for the pure essentials retail. Dropped by for some toe nail antifungal. Ended up having to deal with an impatient clerk who aggressively directed me to athletes food treatment suggesting it's the same active ingredient. Wouldn't listen to me asking about directions on the back and passive-aggressive... read more
After bad experiences with CVS and Niergaard on 5th, where they treated me with contempt and neglect because I use a controlled substance for pain, Jonathan and his colleagues are sensitive, reliable, and non-judgmental. They go out of their way to help. What a relief!
Busy but efficient pharmacy located inside a compact but comprehensive drugstore.
This is an outstanding local pharmacy. They will go out of their way to make sure their customers receive the correct medication when they need it.
I recently had surgery and needed an antibiotic that my usual pharmacy didn’t have in stock at either of their locations. Modern Chemist was able to get it to Park Slope from their DUMBO location in a matter of hours and called to let me know as soon as it was ready. I had a great experience with them and I am grateful for their help!
