I had a cake made for my 50th birthday party. We did a Dexter theme. It exceeded my expectations in all areas. The cake was delicious and the design was exactly what I wanted! I will definitely be getting all cakes from here from now on!
The Mixing Bowl bakery absolutely killed it with our wedding desserts! Nothing but compliments from every guest, whether it was the mini cupcakes, mini pies or the various dessert squares, everything was delicious!
Unfortunately, everything tastes store bought, and honestly not even that because I've had better store bought. The ladies are very pleasant and kind though, just not a great baked goods.
Don’t be fooled by the complementary anniversary cake…we picked ours up for a weekend away and it was bone dry and had the wrong icing, which was chemically and gross. I’m guessing since it’s ‘free’ they don’t care about the quality; and I’m suggesting that because the customer service has always been cold and awkward. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
We had our wedding desserts made at Mixing Bowl - the cake, sheet cake, and cupcakes were delicious, and our guests loved them! Everyone I worked with/spoke to at Mixing Bowl was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they responded to all my emails very promptly. I highly recommend them for wedding desserts (and recommend getting the tasting box to help decide on your flavors - best tasted with a glass of champagne )!
