I signed up for the social anxiety group though haven't started the program yet. I've had a great experience thus far - staff have been responsive, flexible with scheduling, and very kindly offered to send the results of an assessment they paid for to my other psychologist. I will update after the group but I've been very happy with my experience so far - they seem to actually care about patients.
I saw an RN over video for $225 (registered Phycologist's price NOT RN's price) for one hour and was asked to rate him on line after our session, then read it. What can you say? very unprofessional. Everyone gives a free 15 mins with the therapist but at The Mindfulness Clinic, I had my free 15 mins with the receptionist. I honestly thought she was the person I was going to have a session with. I had to open up and tell her my deepest thoughts and concerns. I must admit, this company runs a perfect business model...
Dr. Paul Kelly has spoken at my meditation group a couple of times, most recently last week, and he is an engaging, well-informed and insightful speaker. Last week he spoke about sleep, insomnia and meditation, and I appreciated the mix of mindfulness and meditation information with scientific research.
Dr. Kelly gave a 1-1/2 hour talk on sleep at our weekly meditation group. He led a guided mediation, then explained the sleep process, how to get better sleep, and how meditation can help. He was knowledgeable, and also calm, kind, open and humorous in his talk and in answering questions. He has a helpful blog post on sleep for those not able to come to his talk. Many thanks Dr. Kelly!
