Das Gebäude stammt aus dem frühen 20. Jahrhundert, einer Zeit, in der Katoomba als Kurort wohlhabende Städter anzog. Damals suchte man hier oben frische Luft und Erholung – lange bevor es Massentourismus gab. Über die Jahre wurde das Haus liebevoll restauriert und in ein charmantes Gästehaus verwandelt. Heute verbindet es historischen Charme mit modernem Komfort. Hohe Decken, alte Holzböden die knarren und eine gewisse Nostalgie – man spürt, dass dieses Haus schon viele Geschichten erlebt hat.
It is an excellent, charming, heritage hotel situated right opposite the train station. It is convenient to all the restaurants and transport to the start of the hiking tracks. The breakfast restaurant's service was exceptional, with staff who were both polite and accommodating. The breakfast itself is great value for money. On a chilly Sunday evening, I found myself locked out of my room. Thankfully, the kind and helpful lady at the emergency number arranged for a duplicate key within a short time. I just stayed in a double room for a night. The room was quiet and clean. The bed mattress and pillow were comfortable. The service staff were polite happy and helpful. The location is most convenient being near the Train Station and the Bus Station for travelling to Scenic View Echo Point and other parts of the Town. We pay a very reasonable price maybe being low season. I highly recommend tourists to stay in this place.
