Stayed for a night while visiting the Blue Mountains. Super charming historic hotel with extremely comfortable beds, great breakfast, and friendly, accommodating staff. Great location right next to the Katoomba train station and hop on/hop off bus. Really couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay while in the area.
This was our third stay at the Metropole. We enjoyed our break; however there were a couple of things that could have been better. The TV was absolutely terrible. Time lags and screen freezing. The EKA brand belongs in a council rubbish pick up. The first couple of times we stayed at the Metropole, the bathrooms were a decent and workable size. The room number 29 we stayed in this time had a minuscule bathroom that was very difficult to use. Absolutely terrible really and has put us off staying there again, which is a shame ... read more
Didn't stay in the rooms but the breakfast was awesome. The staff were super nice and the atmosphere was charming. Hot food was hot and coffee was alright. Nice selection solid start to the day
Just 2 mins, steps away from Katoomba Station & Town Centre this delightful heritage guest house radiates warmth, quiet, cosy comfort. The rooms were clean mattress firm & comfy. Lounge rooms & Library had warm fires heating the cold winter. An artist’s escape with paintings on corridor walls, lounge & rest rooms, library - myriad of styles to explore.
