Me and wife for our 25th anniversary drive back home to Illinois to relive good old days. We saw on google that it was open for our anniversary. We drove 7 hours to find the lights off and a dead parking lot. Very disappointed

October 3rd, 2025 Anyone who follows my reviews knows I don’t hand out one-star ratings lightly — but unfortunately, The Mercantile in Sterling has earned it. We were genuinely excited to try this restaurant.
