There was a guy there who would come with his instruments and we would miraculously make a brand new song together in 2 hours. everything else about this place leaves A LOT to be desired. other highlights were making pottery in a shopping mall and watching the ENTIRETY of sopranos while i was there cause there was nothing to do in my giant mansion after 6pm when we were done with "classes". a few years later, after a stint at a much more effective rehab, I reached out to them to see if they can thank the music guy for changi... read more

Many, if not all treatment centers say they have “highly individualized” care. This place actually does. They bend over backwards to get everyone the specific care they need. I needed an AA meeting every day and a ride to the gym. They brought me EVERY day. The staff at MHC is incredible with most of them being PHD level clinicians. But every one provides life changing therapy. EMDR, changed the way I thought. Trauma therapy told me that I make sense. DBT gave me the skills to handling anything. I wanted to die. A great experience overall. Would love to specifically call out Doug, a therapist who works here. He, like so many other therapist at the MHC, did a really good job in individual sessions at really addressing the problem and being honest. It seems like he really cares about his patients and has been doing great work. Sarah as well. Those are the two I would reach out to call about.
