My father enjoyed living here, so I will go easy on my review, but I thought everything here was a money-grab on top of the way-too-expensive monthly fee. It reminded me of Jr High School with the cliques and personalities of the other residents. Neighbors thought it was their duty to be aware of personal information and were appalled when told to mind their own business. Some of the residents were wonderful, but the majority were stuck in their McAuley bubble with far too much time on their hands.
In the six months that I have been here, I have met some interesting and enjoyable new friends. We meet for exercise, dinner, music and lectures. This has been an awesome move for me. Within a month of me living at The McAuley I now volunteer at the gift shop, library and even joined The McAuley Singers. Oh what a blast we have! I love my spacious and super comfortable apartment with a lovely balcony.
I moved to The McAuley two weeks ago and I would like to share my positive experience. The staff has been so gracious, thoughtful and helpful during my transition to the community. The residents have also been warm and welcoming. It is so nice to live here and be able to enjoy a variety of interesting programs that are offered throughout the day. As I sit here writing this review, I received a phone call from a resident inviting me to dinner. I’m delighted to be here and looking forward to making new friendships.
We wanted to take a moment to express our deep gratitude and thanks for making our mom's transition to McAuley seamless and extraordinary. Every staff member (looking at you Anabela and Elizabeth) were kind and accommodating. And the residents were all warm and welcoming. Mom has had a very busy and engaging first month making new friends, attending music events, and embracing new experiences. It really means the world to us. Thank you all!
Almost 8 years ago, my wife and I moved to The McAuley. It was time to decide where to spend the rest of our days. As soon as we visited, we knew where we wanted to be. The McAuley is as an excentonal atmosphere that no else showed us. me lese shoved us. This is a neighborhood warm Friendly people, residents and start! Our decision 8 years ago was absolutely still the right decision now•
