If I could give Marine Collection 0 stars I would. For engine service or repair this place is to be avoided at all costs. They said to drop boat off Sunday night to be worked on Monday, we dropped boat off Sunday night, no actual work was done for close to a week with tough communication. They said carb needed to be cleaned, but after I pulled the boat from them with a engine still not running the way it should, the new mechanic had to clean the carb all over again. So far, so good! I've brought my 18' boat w/ Mercury outboard in a few times this summer and the work has always been done correctly and on time. Other reviewers noted that they don't always answer the phone, which is true, but they have always called me back in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are reasonable given the high quality of work. Would definitely recommend Marine Collection!
I asked for 3 things to happen. Recharge trolling motor battery, small electrical main engine tilt motor fuse was blowing & inspection sticker. They replaced tilt motor parts covered by motor warranty & forgot sticker. Trolling motor batteries had been used for 2 full days prior to dropping off at Marine Collection. I asked them to plug ext cord into onboard charger to recharge trolling motor batteries. It did not happen. These folks have done basic service on my boat for about 10 years... no complaints. Competent, friendly, reasonable prices. They do seem understaffed at times, but as a small business owner I can relate. They've gained my trust.
