We came to The Maple for a Sunday roast and we had a fabulous time - wait staff were very attentive, lovely atmosphere and good food. All you could want for a pub lunch! We were served by Matthew who was an absolute star and incredibly friendly. Great visit, will be returning!
Well this is a place you'd want to visit, we found this place on the off chance and thought we'd give it a go.. we went for sunday dinner and what a treat, greated by very friendly and attentive staff, the food was gorgeous.. I had a lamb roast and you get a decent portion for the price, the veg is served in bowls on the table to share (can have extras if needed) that includes cauliflower cheese everything is cooked fresh so is a little wait but its worth it. We had a family gathering here, and the service was exceptional. The staff handled spillages, breakages, and all sorts of unexpected needs with patience and kindness throughout. It really made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
Have generally had a good experience at The Maple but last night was a very mixed bag. Food was good and reasonably priced but service was hugely disappointing. Slow and not particularly engaging from the young man who did the order taking and some of the subsequent service. Lacked personality and gave the impression that cleaning tables was preferred to customer rapport. Another one like that and I'll not be back.
