As it was my first time at this location I used to go when the restaurant was in the old location. I was very excited to come back and get some gumbo but it wasn't the same. I was looking for a little kick and it didn't have it this time had chicken in it I've never had gumbo with chicken only shrimp. The flavor wasn't in it this time for me. We also had red beans and rice which was alright. I really wanted catfish as well but they were out. I guess I will have to try again at a different time to give my final outcome.
We went to chef Wayne’s for decades and were heartbroken when it closed. Tried the new place a few times and it was great. But they finally got the formula right by bringing Tracy back. Perfection.
We had the spinach and chicken cakes appetizer and it was so rich with flavor. Britney was amazing. She recommended other places in the area and was super friendly.
Excellent cajun food, in a lively atmosphere. We enjoy coming here.
