Arrive after 4.30am, we are deaf & waited few hours before we see the nurse...nurse asked if we can get Auslan Interpreter, I told her its public holiday & I dont think there's any available. So I asked if she can write down, she happy to do it. My husband had scans & IV drip, was told that the scan results takes up 5 hours !! Friendly staff & helpful but, in the waiting area overcrowded is far too long, over 7 hours.

The Emergency was very organised from reception to giving the patients a general overview of how the department allocates them. They also used other services within the hospital to relieve the on going pressure to their services. Thanks team.

I can’t praise the staff at the Maitland ED enough. My daughter was very dehydrated (04/02/26) from being sick and not being able to swallow anything, including water. The triage nurse deemed it serious and she was admitted for assessment and treatment by the GP on duty. Blood was tested, fluids and meds administered and we were able to leave in a timely fashion. For a hospital that is understaffed, underfunded and under resourced, the staff do an amazing job. Thank you all for your service.

Absolutely disgusting customer service and professionalism, rang 000 to get an ambulance to transport me there at 11:30am, had a blood test done and immediately got taken to the waiting room, then waited 7 hours to get the results and find out what my next step would be, go told one of the doctors had lost the label on my blood test and it needed to be redone and told I could waiting up to another 7 hours honestly thought I had ruptured my appendix I was in soo much pain, please get some better doctors and some better recept... read more

i think that yes i like turtles but that this was a amazing experience when i had to doge the needles and run away from angry human's in wheel chair but when there were half Egyptian mommy's chasing me after i tried to unravel then
