I have been a customer of The Mail Room for over 10 years, and I have never had any problems with the service. It is a neighborhood gem, the owner is extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable and always figures out the best price/service for my mailing needs. I don't bother going anywhere else, never an issue with mailing, printing, or notarizing. I appreciate that this is not a chain, which is becoming increasingly rare.
This place is great. I sometimes have packages delivered here to avoid theft (packages from loved ones containing special items, say). I also have sent things from here, and my husband has used the notary service. The woman who runs the Mailroom is helpful, efficient, and cool.
I miss “I mail and more” when they were on gates&bedford and then move to putnam&bedford - not sure what happened that got them to close (assuming rent) but what a loss for the community. I always want to support black owned businesses but this one makes it very challenging. They over charge for everything prepaid drop off/pick up but will tell you AFTER the fact of - not before.
