Made a reservation yesterday and when I came today the restaurant was closed and nobody was there, not even a sign saying why.
Hidden cocktail bar by night downstairs. We stumbled across this place walking up the street and glad we stopped. Music and drinks were great.
We found The Lowdown completely by chance after dinner next door for my friend’s birthday — and it turned out to be the best part of the night! The bar itself is cosy, beautifully designed, and serves genuinely great cocktails (every one we tried was spot on). What really made the night, though, was the team. I popped into a lovely caf� today with such a charming atmosphere. I ordered brunch, which arrived ever so quickly fluffy pancakes with just the right amount of sweetness, beautifully presented, and a cracking cup of coffee to go with it. The service was brilliant attentive without being overbearing. I couldn’t resist grabbing a few cookies and a muffin on my way out; they looked absolutely delicious. I’d definitely recommend visiting this place again and again!
