This cabin is located very close to many easy and challenging hikes for viewing the rivers, creeks and waterfalls on mount Mitchell. Convenient to all the mountain has to offer but In a very quiet and beautiful location. I Decom needed more time on the large back porch watching the creek just a handful of feet away . This place is lovely! It's perched beside a serine creek underneath a forest of hemlocks. The cozy log home has everything that you will need for your stay. The layout is very functional and provides plenty of space. The beds are comfortable, providing a good night sleep for your next day's adventures. There are numerous great hiking trails with in walking distance of the cabin. They vary in terrain from easy to difficult, including the Mt. Mitchell summit trail.
