Trash!!! The front desk is rude to visitors. I recently visited my loved ones, and witnessed elder abuse! "What's your problem, lady!!??" an employee yelled at a demented resident. Per the health department, there are mice living in the kitchen! My loved ones are paying $4k/mo to live here for what!!!???
I want to extend my highest praise and appreciation to The Lodge Retirement Community and to Each and Every one of its staff members. From the cleaning staff to the food service staff, the healthcare staff, managers, transportation … basically everyone, all the way up to the owners; each and every one of you are absolutely fantastic people. Overall, it's run-of-the-mill. I placed my mom's parents here in November 2022. However, there have been hiccups since then. My Grandparents moved into independent living, but are not really independent. Unfortunately, The Lodge placed them in Independent Living, but they need assisted living. Then, when I spoke with the on-site nurse about it, he told me that, due to my loved ones being in Independent Living, he couldn't do anything about it. I have enjoyed many visits to The Lodge since my sister moved there about 14 months ago. They have daily activities as well as special entertainment on weekends. My sister’s apartment is a nice size including kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Also, she has a lanai which is great in warm weather. It’s easily accessible from both 1-71 & I 275. There’s lots of close by shopping.
