We stayed in a family glamping tent in mid July. While we all had a good time, I was conflicted during my stay. I'm unsure how I ultimately feel about my stay at the Lodge at Schroon Lake, but I will list pros and cons to convey my view. We held our multi-generational family reunion here in July 2025 and it could not have been better. The lodge offered many different types of accommodations which worked well for our large group (chalets, rooms, suites, etc). We rented a pavilion one night which was catered for our group. If you needed something from town, you could literally walk there as the property is only a 5 min walk into the little shops and restaurant areas of the town. We stayed for 4 nights, using the Lodge as a home base for several day trips. We were in the main Lodge, with coffee maker and refrig. Many activities each day for all ages. All very comfortable. Easy walk to the small town for shops and restaurants.
My husband and I recently visited The Lodge at Schroon Lake for the first time. We were very impressed with the quaint and cozy cabin we rented. The amenities and family activities on property were amazing and the fresh and delicious cookies (almost) always available in the lodge were a plus. We really appreciated the quietness of the place and friendliness of the staff and other guests on property. The view of the lake is so beautiful!
