Staying at The Lodge at Bow Lake for three nights was certainly the loveliest accommodation experience out of our 16 night Canadian tour of BC and Alberta. The location is wonderful, the staff are so helpful and friendly, and the dining experience gave us the opportunity to talk to so many lovely and interesting people while eating really nice high quality food. In hindsight, it would have been great to stay for another couple of nights as there is so much to see in the area, but that gives us the excuse to hopefully one day... read more
We stayed 3 nights and this is a wonderful location, amazing hikes, friendly staff, comfy rooms and great food. Loved being able to walk straight out onto the lake. The staff gave advise over hikes and we enjoyed meeting other travellers and exchanging ideas and hearing what everyone had done that day. We were really lucky with the weather, it is an ideal location for the Icefields and all it has to offer too. The service was exceptionally warm. We enjoyed reconnecting with Bruce and Alison Millar after many stays at Lake O'Hara Lodge during their administration. Our room on the second floor was more spacious than we anticipated. The food was excellent. Lake O'Hara Lodge, which sets a very high standard, could not match the meals at Bow Lake during our consecutive visits this year. Wilderness retreat filled with fun competent staff , all inclusive meals from a creative kitchen. Great views in the outdoors. Cannot wait to return.
A magical stay. The Lodge itself is gorgeous. Our first night there, after check in, my husband and I were treated to tea, snacks, and coffee in a very cozy room by the fire. The location itself is unbeatable. Nothing can top waking up to the sun slowly creeping over the mountains, shining onto Bow Glacier. Our room was comfortable, clean, with a window that opened to let the fresh mountain air in. Dinners and breakfasts were served in a log dining room by a roaring fire. We miss it already. Hope to be back soon!
