Our family member has been in the Balfour Louisville memory care for several months. It was a tough transition for him coming from living at home to a facility, but necessary after a fall and fracture with surgical repair that significantly exacerbated his medical condition. The Boardwalk staff have largely been very patient and kind with him as he learns the routine, and he has been eating and sleeping better with the varied menu and consistent reminders of what he should be doing and when. Balfour is known to have a great reputation in the Colorado market. As soon as you walk into any of the buildings there on the “campus” you will see why. Everyone is so kind from the associates, to the residents and families! I truly recommend touring for a loved one if you are looking for independent living, assisted living, memory care or skilled. The fact they have all levels of care on one campus is a huge bonus. I would also try the food- one of the better communities with their food program!
My husband has been a resident at Balfour in Louisville for several months. He began in skilled nursing where he received excellent care. This was a very difficult time for us, however the knowledgeable and caring staff did its utmost to ensure that my husband was comfortable and thriving. He is now doing quite well in assisted living.
