Great atmosphere! My wife and I have been a couple times since they changed from Vicious. Clean and spacious. Family and dog friendly. Good music on the weekends. During the week NC Burger is there for lunch and they are terrific (best Burgers in town without a doubt!). We love to stop in for a coffee or beer. Well done!!
We have lived in the New Hill area for years and loved the atmosphere and vibes of Vicious Fishes. However, once this changed to The Local, it has just not been the same. The staff are not as welcoming, not as family friendly, and unless you are a regular - do not expect to receive good service. There are now rules about bringing drinks and snacks for kids (i.e. gatorade and chips) since they sell these items inside, but this is not posted anywhere. Checked this place out since I've never been here before. A little off the beaten path so not crazy easy to find. Came in and sat at the bar. Took about 8-10 minutes to be acknowledged and there was only one other person at the bar. Seemed bartenders were more focused on their regulars vs a newbie. Looks more like a coffee shop than a bar but maybe that's the vibe they're going for. TVs available and they did ask if I wanted anything put on. No food, but they had a food truck outside.
