Disappointing, particularly because we had researched gluten-free eateries prior to going to Boothbay Harbor and were looking forward to eating here (advertising lists it as serving gluten-free). The person taking the order was less than knowledgeable, but did offer to pan sear scallops. When our orders came, my order had fewer than half the number of scallops (six small sea scallops) contained on the other--fried--plate , with no attempt at a garnish. Excellent Coastal Restaurant – Excellent lobster rolls, lobster stew and blueberry pie stand out on the extensive menu. The deep fried seafood platter is a mountain of food for those with hearty appetites. Whole bellied clams, oysters and Maine scallops can be cooked any way you desire. Fresh haddock and chips is a can't go wrong choice. For those tired of seafood, the dock features many great burgers and pastas. Get a whoopie pie for road, made fresh on the premises and %100 Maine yummy.
We LOVE The Lobster Dock Restaurant – The Lobster Dock is the only restaurant my family and friends eat at when visiting the Boothbay Region. There is something on the menu for everyone. This is THE Spot for a Great dining experience! – This IS THE PLACE for Fresh Food. I travel all over the US and eat at many different style restaurants. This place is in my top 5! They have the BEST Hot and Cold Lobster rolls and nice BIG Jumbo lobsters. It was recommended in "Maine an Explorers Guide" as the best and it truly is.
