Beware with caution. I adopted my puppy from this organization with the understanding—given to me verbally and in person by their staff—that I could complete her spay after the 6-month as long as I stayed in communication with them. I did exactly that. Despite following the instructions I was given, the organization later denied ever making that agreement and is now threatening legal action and to reclaim my dog, using the written contract to contradict what their staff had told me face-to-face. Our review is a tad late since we adopted our precious #6 rescue from TLRD just before the pandemic started. Historically, our hearts leaned towards the Seniors, since they are often overlooked but in our opinion, are the best to adopt! When Bella, #5 passed away suddenly of cancer, my husband started searching once again. He went to TLRD and found Stella, a Mama Bear with puppies, who was abandoned and who's future was not too bright, until TLRD rescued her/puppies. We are so happy they did! Experience was good. Ongoing communications with staff after the pickup have been timely and very helpful. Records and medical 'To Do List' was very clear and easy to follow with instructions and vouchers for the services.
We found our new puppy through The Little Red Dog. He was a rescue pup, pregnant mom was pulled from a shelter and the rescue fostered all 8 pups, and we got Blu. The rescue was just phenomenal - they answered emails, inquiries and calls promptly, the support for our family in welcoming our newest member of the family was really helpful. So grateful for the work they do and for the kindness and support they gave us. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
