Had delicious, fresh sandwiches here in the summer. Bread was fresh, tasty ingredients, good price. And it filled me up - which is not always possible 😀.
Delicious, freshly made sandwiches. The whole wheat bread is soft and flavourful, the type of bread that is hard to come by these days. There are about 10 sandwich varieties and a daily special for $12.50 each. Scones and muffins also available. Great little shop. No seating /takeout only but there are lots of picnic tables across the street in the park along the river.
When I say this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in my entire life, you've got to understand - I've eaten a LOT of sandwiches. I didn't think that a simple mozzarella pesto sandwich was going to be a sublime experience, but everything was SO FRESH and thoughtful that we sat at the picnic table across the street just eating quietly, occasionally pausing to say, "this might be the best sandwich I've ever had", over and over. This is a great lunch spot! We came for lunch and ate near the water right across the way - it was a beautiful spot! Everything tastes fresh and delicious!
