It looks like my original post was flagged for removal because I quoted a censored curse word that one of the bartenders hurled at me. That should tell you everything right there, but I'll repost my original review without it. I paid for the bar's $40 grandstand access for the Ponchatrain/Mars/Choctaw parades on Feb. 7th, and had also bought a couple of drinks on top of that. Stopped in during a business trip, just wanted a drink and some food after a long day. This was my second stop after a no show bartender around the corner. This place rocks, elevated "dive" bar with great service, solid booze, amazing food. Wings and po boys and bourbon what more can you ask for!?
Blerta was the most incredible bartender. Even with a good lunch crowd she always stopped and took care of or orders. She recommended a sandwich off the menu and it did not disappoint! Can't wait to comeback
Sandwiches are extremely tasty. Environment is straight up local. Love it!
