I love this gym. Jorge and Emily are such nice people and they genuinely love helping people to reach their fitness goal, whatever it may be. They won't try to subscribe you to any program. If you just want to show up and enjoy the class, the classes are very good by the way, they are just happy to see you there and would just make sure you do the exercises with the right technique. My partner does the classes at The Lift Dept and told me to see Jorge since I wanted to improve my lifting. I did two PT sessions with him and we basically rebuilt my squat and deadlift from the ground up. He showed me how to breathe and brace properly and tie it all together, which made a huge difference. He even sent me summaries afterwards so I knew exactly what to keep working on. Definitely recommend him if you want to fine-tune your lifts and take them up a level!
Having never done any weight lifting before, I was nervous to begin but I can honestly say that it has been such an empowering experience. In both pt sessions and group classes, I learnt proper form and feel so much more confident to continue with this type of training. Both Jorge and Emily hold a wealth of knowledge and the gym has a genuine community atmosphere. Highly recommend!
