Hemphill is not a good attorney--he will promise a lot to get your retainer, then stretch things out until you're willing to accept anything to get it over with. My case was a labor discrimination suit and took 18 months. He told me at first it might be worth $200,000, and we ended up settling for attorney's fees. He gladly took the retainer, and then it was one excuse after another. I wouldn't recommend him for anything
