We have been dealing with the Laneway Mudgee over an unexpected cancellation of accommodation due to unforeseen circumstances (family emergency which was quite unexpected and difficult). Acknowledging that the Laneway is within its Terms and Conditions to refuse refund of the deposit however the poor customer service and disappointing communication with its management team reflects both a lack of empathy and unwillingness to provide flexibility or negotiate in good faith. A warm, clean, and cozy place to stay! The Laneway was such a pleasant surprise — quiet, yet just a short walk to the town centre. The complementary bowl of snacks was a lovely touch and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. Would definitely stay again!
Currently staying here for work and booked again for next week. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely little touches like milk in the fridge, complimentary snacks and very well equipped kitchen . Is hard being away from home for work so when you find a place that has everything you need it makes it easier . Parking right outside door . Very quiet location and great blockout curtains !! Really can’t fault it
We stayed here about a year ago and the owners made us sleep on the floor. Two bedroom unit with 2 couples and 2 toddlers. Rooms were clean and the place was nice. The issue we had was that the bedroom doors lock from the inside and you need a key to enter from outside the room. One of our bedroom doors ended up closing from the wind or one of our toddlers and locked us out of one bedroom with no access and all of our stuff inside. It is located in the industrial part of town which is not a problem, at the bottom of the lane there was old mattresses dumped and the grounds are pretty unloved, unfortunately inside the accommodation was not clean and showing signs of needing work and a bed head is needed. It’s a shame with a small amount of effort this could be a great little base for a family to stay.
