Food in rehabilitation is beyond gross, unidentifilabe meat. O2 dependent folks, don't go there. Mind you, they claim to be a rehabilitation, memory, assisted living community BUT... if you are O2 dependent, good luck🤬. They have 0 portable oxygen tanks nor any O2 hoses??? Hard to go to rehabilitation with NO oxygen if you need it🤔. There's no one to assist you to get out of bed on the weekend??? Rehabilitation???
My grandma and grandpa live in an apartment there and it’s fine. However, when my grandma had to go up to the 4th floor after she fell we saw a whole new side to this place. My grandma couldn’t walk because of her leg injury. No one cake when she called for help. They let her sit in her own urine for hours. They never helped her to the bathroom, my mom did. If they stripped her bed, she was left in her wheelchair until my mom came and made her bed and helped her back into bed. She is so miserable.
The Harbor Chase facility in Southlake Texas has an infestation of bed bugs and if you speak up about it they shun you.
I cannot say enough great things about Discovery Village in Southlake. My mom has been in their skilled nursing rehabilitation for the past 20 days, and the care she has received has been exceptional. The staff and medical professionals are wonderful —many of them have been with the facility for over 10 years, which speaks volumes about their commitment and stability. I have lived in Independent Living in Discovery Village 2 for over eight years and have been very happy here! The residents on the first floor are more like a family than “just neighbors.” One of the reasons I chose this option is because of the availability of assisted living on the second floor, more specialized care on the third floor and skilled nursing/rehabilitation on the fourth floor in case I should need any of those services in the future.
