Edit: I've since spoken to a lovely GP who has resolved the issue and spoke to me like a human being, he even apologised for the below experience. Restored my faith. Also spoke to a kind pharmacist there too, her whole manner was kind and empathetic how it should be working in a medical setting. Some (not all as some are very nice) of the receptionists really shouldn't be dealing with the sick and disabled, they'd be better as traffic wardens. Very unhelpful, borderline rude. Appointment booking is a joke, given times to arrive and then told it was wrong even though the note we had was written by the people booking the appointment. Then when time was correct nurse was off but couldn't offer a replacement appointment on time sensitive injections.
BE AWARE THERE IS A CAR PARK ATTENDANT THAT NEEDS TO GO TO SPECSAVERS ISSUING PARKING TICKETS TO MY MOTHER WHO IS 80 YEARS OLD SERIOUS HEALTH CONDITIONS AND A BLUE BADGE HOLDER. £70 PCN THANKS MATE
Refusing treatment and withholding treatment, not clued up on issues such as menopause and both GP and therapists have a tendency to LAUGH at issues such as suicidal thoughts and depression. Been trying to get HRT for 4+ years and all they want to do is brush me off.
Why do receptionists who work for a GP practice feel the need to have an attitude. Is it part of the job description? The reception staff working here are rude, abrupt and have a very argumentative style of conversation. This is effectively a customer service job and there is a serious lack of skill in how to handle its ‘customers’ with any real compassion, care or empathy.
