Brought home a Goat Cheese Salad and a Brisket Burger for dinner - Thought we'd give The Kitchen On Forest another try after a few so-so experiences....well....the Goat Cheese salad was a soggy mess when opened since the dressing wasn't on the side - where were the apples? - goat cheese was a hard ball - WOW!! Brisket Burger was tough and rough - hey,the fries were good...thought there was a slaw included with it but not the case - overall a real disappointment.....

Went to grab a quick bite with my wife an hour before they closed on a weeknight. Wasn't busy at all. Service was only okay, wouldn't say friendly and welcoming, but not the worst. I got a pulled chicken sandwich and my wife a burger. Both were pretty subpar. There was a bone in my sandwich. My wife's burger seemed like a frozen patty reheated, maybe it was fresh at one point. Absolutely no sides come with anything. My wife's burger didn't even come with any condiments. Don't believe I will be going back anytime soon.

Highly recommend, very hard to find BBQ in Montclair and this place has great BBQ Guy working here today makes the place feel like home.

This place is unbelievable. The food is outstanding!! Ambiance is so classy with soft jazz playing. This is a secret gem.
