I contacted several private chefs and caterers in Santa Barbara/Montecito for my event. Betti was quick to respond. The others were not (Welcome to Santa Barbara!). The Kitchen Door did a fabulous job at a garden party I held for my 89-year-old uncle. The food (taco bar) was magnificent! The choices included shrimp, chicken, beef, and pork, grilled on site and served steaming hot. The halibut ceviche and jalapeño poppers were delicious appetizers. Betti and her crew absolutely knocked it out of the park. They tailored everything to our dietary needs and fussed over every tiny detail, turning dinner into a full-on celebration. The gluten-free dessert was outrageously good. Beautiful tableware, warm smiles, and dishes that burst with flavor, and you’ve got a private-chef experience that’s impossible to beat. Bettina and The Kitchen Door were fantastic for our wedding! The team arrived early to get familiar with our venue and helped with planning, even assisting with shopping lists. They ensured the buffet-style dinner ran smoothly, with desserts timed perfectly, and put together a delightful coffee bar for guests at the end of the night.
