I was so terrified to take my uncle out of his home at the age of 97 and put him in any facility. I had many concerns and spent time crying over it. While I had liked what I saw on a visit, it seemed that there were so many things that could go wrong. Yet at home he wasn't doing as well. We weren't able to keep him comfortable and he was so weak I would have needed a second caregiver 24/7 to manage all his needs. Our father has been with the Kensington for four years and it had been a special experience. It is a lovely facility convenient to where he lived many years, and the familiarly has been powerful. As with any assisted living, there is a mix of capability among the guests and throughout Kensington has been attentive as his memory declines to meet him with people at his level, get to PT regularly and engage him with activities that he enjoys and keeps him alert. I can't say enough good things about my father's 18 month residence at The Kensington. The staff was lovely and responsive to us and he was comfortable and well cared for, which brought such comfort to my family. Their affection for him was obvious and having onsite medical care and management of his medical schedling and transportation, when needed, made a difficult situation infinitely more manageable.

Just a wonderful day spent with Mom at the Kensington with a superb staff all around. I am getting spoiled by the Happy Hour entertainment, so today's special shout out goes to Diana Hickman. She dazzled this day's Happy Hour event. Fantastic entertainer!!!!
