I have been at the Kelly House for over 6 months and this place is wonderful! First time in Sober Living and I would recommend it for anyone battling this disease. I live with 27 other men and we are all in this together! RichW and JohnF run a tight ship with accountability. We are all expected to work, get tested twice/week, we have chores, we volunteer at the local food pantry and we help each other and the community wherever and whenever we can. My brother, an alcoholic, has been at the Kelly Sober House for just over a year now. This house is different from the numerous other sober houses where he has lived over the past 20 years. Richard, the owner, truly cares and wants the residents to recover, he is not just in it for the money. It's working! No drinking for 13 months. I haven't slept this good in years! Thank you to the team at the Kelly House.
I am not a resident at the Kelly House. However, a relative is currently there. I am sober 21 years this july and it was a hard road to recovery. My relative, is 1-year sober and I am so very proud of him and greatful for the Kelly House & the Staff that have helped him on this journey. The Kelly house in wakefield is the best program I have been to. The owner Richard Winant is extremely involved in the house and personally takes time to check on each tenant and their recovery. He also has been known to leave rooms open for months as he finds dedicated individuals to keep the community focused, safe, and welcoming.
