I absolute loved this place! I came here for the first time with a friend and we sat in a big booth in the bar area. We got the cauliflower Mac and cheese and it was so delicious. But the spicy chicken Cesar salad was the best part of my meal! The salad itself was great, but the chicken was cooked to actual perfection! I canât wait to come back here and try more things on the menu.Â
My wife and I have been there multiple times, and usually the food is good. I always get the fish and chips, and they always are excellent. The food my wife got today was below average. The service is usually good, but we have had some below average waitresses. So why did I give it 3 stars? I am 66 years old and my wife is 70, and she has mobility issues. My daughter and I really enjoyed this place. We came into the area for her lacrosse tournament and were looking for a place with good food. The Jockey Tavern exceeded our expectations.Â
Do yourself a favor and skip this place. The host I spoke with to get an outside table apparently didn't hear me say it twice and her even REPEATING back to me didnt get us an outside table. That's after waiting 35mins for the table and waiting those 35mins waiting for a spot at the bar. The staff was slow. We know this because not only did we watch them not working quick enough no one left the bar. We have been to plenty of nice places and never had that happen. Do better.Â
Our bartender Ryan was incredible - and I don't say that lightweight⊠But he was moving quick to serve everyone - was attentive to us when we needed him and you're lucky to have him!!!Â
