I share the concerns that have been raised regarding pickleball scheduling and court availability. My wife and I transitioned from another facility based on the understanding that the J would offer dedicated pickleball courts available seven days a week. At the time we joined, we were informed that Wednesdays and Thursdays would temporarily accommodate basketball for a few weeks, which we understood and accepted. Our family joined JCC because of their Pickelball courts and the monthly opening hours they posted. However, the actual opening hours are often fewer than advertised. Yesterday morning at 10 am, we went to JCC, only one court available, and we left disappointed. This has happened several times since we joined JCC. I personally believe that JCC should uphold its basic commitment to open court allocation.
While I appreciate many of the amenities the JCC has to offer, as a pickleball enthusiast I have many concerns. There appears to be a consistent pattern of contradictory information being provided by JCC employees. Different staff members are giving different answers about court access and scheduling, which creates confusion and frustration for members attempting to plan their visits.
