The Izakaya has fast become my wife and I's go-to when we want sushi or Japanese food. The team is consistent, good quality, and always very welcoming. The interior is also incredibly cute and the bathrooms are always very well maintained. They have a big menu so it's a solid place to bring family, friends, or picky eaters because there will be something for everyone on the menu. We live out of state but frequent this restaurant often while visiting the Sacramento area. The employees are all so friendly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. My favorite roll is the Dan Roll - it’s very flavorful and oh so good. The Dragon and Snow Flake rolls are also favorites. We’ve always had a good experience when dining here.

Buckle up, it’s story time.. June 14, 2026 at 8:45pm. We walk in, first thing the lady says to us is, “to go right?”. Wrong, wanted to eat there, but she claimed they closed the kitchen at 8:30 even though they close at 9pm. (But they are still able to make food “to go” with the kitchen closed?? ) We order and wait for our food.
