The Island kitchen has great food here in Los Angeles. I highly recommend it for its authentic island flavors.
The Jerk Chicken was incredible!!! Cooked to perfection. I've been struggling to find a good Jamaican cuisine. Everything on the menu is fantastic. I promise you will not be disappointed. Great service as well. Highly recommended.
When I heard Chef Bensford Evans was opening up a restaurant I literally screamed!!! I’ve heard of his delicacies all way over from the east coast. His attention to detail, balance and preparation is renowned. I ordered both the curry chicken, cabbage, rice & peas entree and the oxtail, cabbage, rice & peas dinner - that melted in my mouth! And the flavors……..DELISH! It was everything I’d heard about and more. True, authentic cuisine and always a first stop when coming into town👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Chef Bensford's food is delicious! I highly recommend The Island Kitchen. My wife and I have ordered for ourselves and I have catered with him for a short film project. Positive experiences both times. His food is authentic, intentional, and tasty. The oxtails! Oh my.
