I can’t recommend this place enough. The owners are very nice, including the cat! The breakfast was fresh and hot, made and served by the owners. I had a couple great conversations with them too. The location is pretty good. However, to any reading this, understand that there really aren’t nearby restaurants or gas stations that open late. Bring snacks, ensure you have gas. This island isn’t very populous, adhere accordingly.
My partner and I went in the off season on our way through the Cabot Trail. The room was great and spacious, clean and comfortable with an ensuite. The view was so incredible with an ambudance of native birds playing in the surrounding trees. No cooking facilities but wasnt a problem as they have a pizza place 5 min drive down the road and a small market. The owners were phenominal!! Visiting during Keltic Colours, I was very lucky to find a room here. It was just a bedroom with a shared bathroom, but it was perfect for a solo person. Mike, Tracy, and Spike (the very sweet resident cat) were so welcoming and kind. There is no AC but visiting in October this wasn’t an issue. Rooms and bathroom were very clean. The lounge area for guests is very cozy, I love that there’s tea and coffee, board games, cards and books available to use.
