Visiting during Keltic Colours, I was very lucky to find a room here. It was just a bedroom with a shared bathroom, but it was perfect for a solo person. Mike, Tracy, and Spike (the very sweet resident cat) were so welcoming and kind. There is no AC but visiting in October this wasn’t an issue. Rooms and bathroom were very clean. The lounge area for guests is very cozy, I love that there’s tea and coffee, board games, cards and books available to use. Fantastic place to stay, literally at the entrance to the Cabot Trail. My room was very simple, but quiet, clean, cozy and comfortable with plenty of parking space and fantastic views. The venue has a real homely feel to it that you don’t get in a regular hotel, and I feel that’s down to the owner, Tracy, who is very welcoming and personable and makes the best breakfast!! For convenience, there’s a gas station near by and a restaurant within easy walking distance. I would definitely stay again.
