Not only does The Inn at River Oaks reflect the charm and beauty of Southport but it's manager, Joe, is one the friendliest, most acommodating people I've met. From restaurants to local hot spots his reccomendations never fail to impress. If you really want to experience Southport like a local, this is the place to stay!
Very Very Charming Inn in Southport, NC. The tile floors were a little cool in the fall, but the room was extremely clean and well taken care of. Joe checked us in, showed us our room, and followed up to make certain we had everything we needed. Joe, if you get this and you're gay, I have a son who I'd like to set you up with! From the road the Inn at River Oaks looks a bit like a step back in time, maybe the forties or fifties, really quaint and cozy. But we all know that that era is long gone and motels like this are usually run down and reserved for the hour by hour undesirables. But NOT SO with this amazing little place. I LOVED IT!!! It's nestled in the middle of 200 year old trees and the rooms are clean and very well cared for.
