The room is clean. Water was hot. Bed was fine. Towels were clean. Big downside for us was the paper-thin walls. First night without a neighbor felt comfortable. Second night I felt like I had to keep my voice to a minimum because I sure hear my neighbors conversations (and then some, IYKWIM). Train noise is occasional. Overall, a nice place to stay.
Very nice up to date rooms with cable tv and free Wi-Fi internet access. The hotel is located next to the historic 1839 Elijah McLeans mansion. The hotel is conveniently located by telephone Riverfront and very close to all the restaurants and Amtrak Station.
The place was quaint and you will have access to a private club bar next door. The inn overlooks the Missouri River and a short walk to amazing restaurants, bars and shops. Great place and great history. FYI, only 9 rooms at the inn.
