Outstanding Indian Food – After 15 years of dining at India restaurant it's definitely one of our all time favorites. High Quality and the finest ingredients.
Worth a 30 mile drive – I was on a project in Pasadena for the past 6 months -- a coworker (from Cerritos) recommended this restaurant. This is, without a doubt, one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten at. The quality of food was outstanding (the lamb curry was incredibly lean which is a rarity) and the consistency of dishes remarkable. I *regularly* drove the 30+ miles to go to this restaurant.
Little gem in the heart of Little India – Based on previous reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place. We were not disappointed. We were glad we arrived when we did, because within 30 minutes every table was full. The food was outstanding as was the service. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The chicken tikka masala and the shrimp saag are must trys!
Good price for what you get This place is always crowded. I wonder why. Probably because they are among the few restaurant that do not over charge customers by 200%. Personally, I also feel that they are pretty close to authentic North Indian food taste.
Excellent Indian food (I am vegetarian) Try Grillen Paneer, its awesome
Best on Pioneer – I live in Cerritos, and have visited Indian restaurants throughout Artesia and LA.... I must say the India Restaurant is among the best. Although a little too cozy, the restaurant is clean, service is friendly, and the food is great. The korma is some of the best i've ever had... Great choice, esp. if you live in the area.
The Best North Indian Cuisine in Artesia – Being of Indian origin myself, I've sampled just about every Indian restaurant on Pioneer Boulevard in "Little India". When it comes to authentic North Indian Cuisine, nothing else compares to The India Restaurant. The food is superb, particularly the Shahi Paneer and Navratan Korma. The previous reviewer sampled the lunch buffet which, while tasty and a good value, does not compare to the food you order off the menu, as it is over-neutralized for the stereotypical American palette.... read more
Curry story – Along the run of ghee and curry that is Little India, The India Restaurant curls up secretly in a mini-mall, a classy mirrored decor within. Reflected off this, is the play of a somewhat crowded ambience, at its height, summoned in by belly for the buffet luncheon, of which I also took gustatory part. I have had better curries; but what is offered is passable, the shahi paneer, cheese in tomato sauce, cream and ginger probably the standout in this particular buffet row. There is a blissfully extensive wine list... read more
