They emailed me a list of recommended repairs, including: – Replacing the brake pedal position switch, – Front and rear differential fluid change, – Cleaning battery terminals (mild corrosion). I took my 2014 Mazda CX-5 to The Import Doctors for a diagnostic check. They identified a “brake system fault” and recommended replacing the brake pedal switch in their written estimate (email dated September 24, 2025). Based on their recommendation, I approved the repair. I went to Import Doctors after Carter VW quoted me over $5,000 for repairs that Import Doctors determined to be at least partially unnecessary. Steve ran check engine codes for me on multiple occasions at no charge and helped me determine best next steps. I felt he was honest and trustworthy. Got an oil change at Meineke that included an inspection. They told me I needed several things done on the car and wanted to charge several hundred dollars. I I got in with The Import Doctors within the week on a cancellation. For a $130 diagnostic, they checked on the engine leak that Meineke said I needed repaired.
