The old world charm of the architecture and furniture is matched by very attentive and generous service, delectable food and gorgeous views. We even enjoyed black cockatoos flying around while we ate breakfast. This was for a special occasion and definitely was a wonderful setting in which to celebrate.
It was a lovely stay in a beautiful, historic hotel. Great views of you pick your room wisely. Great food in the Wintergarden restaurant as well as excellent service.
Unfortunately not the best experience we book one night stay ! I understand that as x heritage hotel … they change my room for I don’t know reason I don’t want to talk about the bathroom 🤦♂️ the only good things was the food but for the rest the value for the many that I spend was not on point …
View is beautiful but it’s the mountains. You can see it from most place. I do understand the hotel listed in heritage but in poor condition and impacting accommodation comfort. The maintenance requires ASAP. The room itself is pretty small but the main problem is the bathroom. You can see the pictures. Has broken hot water handle. Shower head is not working properly. The Hydro offers a relaxed and cozy retreat atmosphere, surrounded by magnificent valley views with a beautifully refurbished 1900s design and luxurious Art Deco furnishings. Loved the lounges, the fireplaces, and framed photographs showcasing aspects of the art deco architecture of the hotel.
