Stopped by the Hydro Majestic for a quick coffee break and was pleasantly surprised. The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning—worth the visit alone. The café area had a charming atmosphere, and the breakfast we sampled was fresh and tasty. A lovely spot to relax and take in the scenery, even if you're not staying overnight
Having grown up in Sydney but leaving at age 28, I hadn't been to the Blue Mountains in my later adult life, until this week. I had always loved stopping by at the Hydro back in the day, and hoped one day I might stay there! We have just had 3 nights in a Majestic Valley View Room (one of the more expensive options) and I'm really pleased we did. The Hydro has memories for me from my childhood. I was last there about 40 yrs ago with my Dad. We used to stop for breakfast on the way to Grandparents' place. I always wanted to stay there, now I have-spent my 50th there with some friends, also was surprised by my Aunt and Uncle-it was a surprise reunion. My recent stay at the Hydro Majestic had its ups and downs. The hotel itself is truly unique and worth exploring, offering a fascinating glimpse into history. My room was comfortable, and I appreciated the character of the building, even though this did mean a few creaky windows and doors. However, there were a few issues. The bathroom had a persistent damp smell, which wasn't ideal. The food at the on-site restaurants and bars was overpriced and quite average.
