This review is for the hydro Majestic Wintergarden’s high tea only. The high tea was extremely average and definitely not worth the $80 price tag. You got three very average quarters of a sandwich that were either made the night before or sat around in the kitchen all day. The bread was dry and stale. There was nothing special or different about the menu ( eg Salmon and cream cheese that was mostly cream cheese, pesto and butter and 1/3 of a wrap of roast beef and lettuce). We attended the Father’s Day High Tea as a group of five and were extremely disappointed with the experience. The scones were served frozen, which is simply unacceptable for a high tea. We then waited approximately 20 minutes for fresh ones to be brought out. The quality and presentation of the rest of the food was also very poor and nowhere near the standard you would expect from a high tea, particularly for a special occasion such as Father’s Day. The view is stunning.... but you pay for it. We went for High Tea.... $80 per head which is ok because the view is great... the food was ok. Unfortunately our High Tea was served without tea cups.. we had to request them three times because they brought them to our table.... one coffee order was not delivered, after 30min and multiple requests we had to get up and find a staff member to get the order complete. We paid for the view I guess.
