This was written last fall for Trip Advisor but I wanted to share it on google as well...My husband and I had dinner at The Hungry Trout last night 12/20024 for the first time. We had traveled through the area for several decades. A year or so ago I saw this restaurant on a list of one of the most romantic restaurants so I set my mind on going there. We enjoyed our stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice size room with a table for eating and playing cards. Good hiking is just a short walk.
Room needs updates
The room was old, outdated, mold in the bathroom, spiderwebs in the room. The restaurant food was good, the waitress was very nice. The person seating us could care less, and there was a man behind the bar making his own drink that said if we didn't have a reservation that we would have to wait with an attitude. We never said anything to anyone. We just sat at the bar and ordered a drink while we waited. Much different than the last time we were there.
