And yet, there’s a reason Chef Linda of Hummingbird’s Kitchen was recognized for her refined and original cooking as a semi finalist of James Beard awards 2025. Her cooking is both familiar and novel, because she reimagines every traditional Chinese recipe she takes on with local Montana ingredients and modern twists. This restaurant doesn’t even have an official phone number. I finally found one on Yelp and called, just to ask if it’s possible to order in Chinese. The person who picked up the phone immediately started cursing at me with F-words. Extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Very disappointing experience—I will never come back.
I want to share a little story about Linda and hummingbird kitchen. It was a busy working day with Linda—one of those days where time seems to slip through your fingers.
